Food - where government sees it

I subscribe to http://www.openaustralia.org/ for alerts when ever they speak of food, my member speaks and other things of interest to me. It's a good way to quickly 'cut to the chase' and follow what's said in parliament.

As we've all known for a long time, it's time everyone got back to growing a little bit of fit for themselves, raising a few chooks for eggs and not relying too much on the supermarket.

It also part of the reason we want to become primary producers - there's only gonna be more and more people, and people always gonna need to eat For me its one of the most rewarding things to do, to grow good food, for yourself or for others.

I am a big advocate for growing and producing as much of your own food as you are able to. It is surprising what one can grow in pots in a courtyard if there is a will to do so. (of course it isn't always easy, but can be done)

It stands to reason that food is only going to increase over the years. Water is I think going to be a much larger problem in the scale of things.

I am heartened by how many people are now attempting to grow their own or are showing interest in doing so.

I feel that growing your own (at least a bit of your own) food is becoming really quite popular; and its wonderful! Hopefully it just keeps on growing!
