Anipro & other supplements

We've been feeding our cattle this winter Anipro a liquid supplement with organic Rhodes Hay. It's been going well and we thought it could be part of our winter strategy but... they've sent out to say they're adding Flavophospholipol which they say in their literature is a "a fermented by-product that improves energy and protein fermentation, feed-conversion efficiency and liveweight gain, by promoting growth of beneficial bacteria in the rumen and small intestine.

I looked it up the other day when they first said about adding this the definition is:

Flavophospholipol: Antibiotic complex obtained from Streptomyces bambergiensis containing mainly Moenomycins A and C. They are used as feed additives and growth promoters for poultry, swine, and cattle.

So if you want you meat antibiotic free and are currently feeding liquid feeds check out each and everything in them. No where do they say this is antibiotic and yet everywhere I looked that's exactly what it is, and it's used to fight Ecoli in feedlots!

I'm so irritated that it never ends with the tampering with food and glossing over... and they say we have too many antibiotics from doctors... too much in food still!!

Grrrr.....thanks for the tip will check our supplement out tomorrow. Antibiotics are great for life saving situations.....but otherwise they wreck the intestinal flora and are completely not good for us - or our cows!
