Ali started us looking at Weck Jars a while back with this thread viewtopic.php?f=6&t=537
about how lid lining is made...
Anyway that's when some of us, me included got interested in the weck but we concluded they would cost too much to buy overseas. Not sure if Ali spoke to Ian at Redback Trading but it's great that he's got some on order. I'll be ordering a few that's for sure.
They can be used exactly the same as the FV or Mason but have a glass lid. I just thought they look lovely and for some special things could be good to have a few. It would be costly to totally change all jars, and I like the mix for different things but to pull out a lovely jar full of something preserved, for the table with guests, would be lovely... I'm not giving them away though.
I got my first order from Redback via Ebay some time back now, and have been really happy with them, and they sure are evolving into a really good preserving resource. I was thinking about you saying things were on the website but not in stock, I have to say I've never had that happen. There's been things listed and saying out of stock but on the way and I wait but I've never had the experience of ordering and waiting while they got something in that I'd paid for.
